Our school hosted a meeting for girls in grades 8 through 11 featuring industry experts, titled “Take Care of Yourself. Respect Yourself: What I Need to Know About Reproductive Health.” The objective of the event was to empower the girls to prioritize their physical well-being, improve their reproductive health, foster positive mental health, protect themselves against violence and various forms of harm, and cultivate a strong sense of self-respect.
Attendees included: Arailim Mukitovna, a gynecologist from the Youth Health Center; Gulzira Kuatbek, a specialist from the Domestic Violence Prevention Department; Maira Umirzakovna, the School Principal; B. Darbayeva, Deputy Head of the Department of Education; and the school psychologists. Together, they covered the following topics with the students:
– Personal hygiene;
– Sex education;
– Maintaining a healthy lifestyle;
– Violence prevention and legal literacy;
– Prevention of bullying and harassment;
The experts shared their insights and advice regarding the topics under discussion.
The students actively engaged with the experts, asking questions and sharing their own thoughts and perspectives.
