News / Abai is a symbol of justice.
On November 8, Secondary School No. 176 hosted a competition for the expressive recitation of poetry and musical works among 5th and 6th-grade students, themed “Abai: A Symbol of Justice.”
The primary objectives of the event were:
– To introduce students to the life and creative works of the great poet Abai Kunanbayev;
– To instill in students the values of humanism, justice, and the pursuit of knowledge, as reflected in Abai’s poetry;
– To develop skills in artistic speech and expressive reading;
– To foster a greater interest in the arts and national culture.
During the competition, participants:
– Recited excerpts from Abai’s poems;
– Performed the poet’s verses;
– Presented Abai’s creative works in the form of musical pieces and songs.
Seventeen students from the 5th and 6th grades took part in the event.
The jury selected the top performers, awarding them 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place honors, as well as special commendations.
The event was organized to a high standard; it sparked significant interest among the students and proved to be of great informational and educational value.
