As part of a career guidance week themed “Choosing a Profession: Our Primary Focus,” an “Open Mic” event was organized for university graduates under the theme “Education and Experience: The Key to the Future.”
The event featured the heads of career guidance departments from Korkyt Ata University (Kyzylorda), Bolashak University, and Ashikh University—our city’s leading higher education institutions—who held a substantive meeting with the graduates.
During the meeting, students received comprehensive information regarding:
the educational system and the advantages offered by these universities;
modern, in-demand academic majors;
state grants and financial incentives;
the documents required for applicants and admission criteria;
new trends in the labor market and emerging professions.
Additionally, students received valuable advice regarding common pitfalls to avoid when choosing a career path, effective methods for accurately assessing their own aptitudes, and the fundamental requirements for becoming a competitive professional in the job market.
The meeting made a strong impression; students asked specific questions and gained a thorough understanding of the vital information pertinent to their future. Events of this nature serve as a powerful catalyst for the younger generation, encouraging them to set goals, make well-informed decisions, and pursue professional development.
Such beneficial meetings, aimed at expanding students’ future opportunities, will continue to be held in the future.
