Literacy in the religious and legal spheres is a guarantee of social security!

On January 14, a meeting was held at our school with students in grades 9 through 11 on the topic of “Protection Against Foreign Influence.”

The objective of the meeting was to prevent religious extremism and terrorism. Specifically, the aim was to introduce students to the concept of religious literacy, provide them with accurate and reliable information regarding religion, foster respect for diverse religious viewpoints, and cultivate critical thinking skills as a means of countering negative religious movements and radical ideologies.

The meeting featured the participation of Saken Aldashbayev, a theologian from the “Center for Religious Studies” under the Kyzylorda Department for Religious Affairs. Mr. Aldashbayev conducted a question-and-answer session designed to assess the students’ level of religious literacy and to teach them how to properly analyze religious information encountered on the internet and social media platforms.
